Fall flavours

Pumpkin spice everything is everywhere but Starbucks seems to be everyone’s PSL go-to spot. I went on the painstaking mission of reviewing fall treats at coffee shops around campus and dealing with a nasty stomach ache mixed with a sugar infused sleepless night for Ryerson students. Here, I list some places that might be doing PSL better than Starbs.

HitchBOT comes home

The wellington-wearing, smartass-replying, hitchhiking robot that traveled over 6,000 kilometers across Canada this summer, made a stop at Ryerson. With HitchBOT was his creators of six students who gave a behind the scenes look at the robot who went viral. The masterminds included two Ryerson students and assistant professor.

No sight, only sounds

Musicians@Ryerson hosted their second “Darkness Concert” where the audience was blindfolded. The concert, in collaboration with the Chinese Students’ Association and Poetic Exchange, donated all proceeds to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB). Here’s my review of it for Ryerson’s arts and culture magazine, the Ryerson Folio.
